Photo Tips: Hand Painted Sheet

Photo Tips: Hand Painted Sheet. In this photo, Payton Brady of the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency is posing on a 10 foot by 12 foot muslin sheet that was hand painted specifically for use as a background for photographs. We purchased this sheet online from B & H at this link: (click here).
The sheet is hemmed so that it can be hung on a rod in a studio. When we use it outdoors in the garden outside our studio, we tie up two corners of the sheet to shrubs using light-weight rope.
Tip: When the sheet was purchased, it had deep fold marks from being folded for shipment in a small container. To get rid of the fold marks, we simply hosed it down using a garden hose. Note that the sheets are advertised as being washable, so we felt confident that hosing it with water would not damage it. While it is called a “sheet,” the material is much heavier than an ordinary bed sheet.
The model in this photo is Payton Brady, who will be appearing on the upcoming Season 4 of the reality television program, Janice Dickinson’s Modeling Agency (Oxygen Network) that will begin airing later this month.
